A Butter Coffee Latte is a do-it-yourself version of Bulletproof coffee you can quickly whip up at home. Butter coffee is a great way to extend the fast that occurs during sleep and kick-starts your morning with medium-chain triglycerides and caffeine. Butter coffee contains vitamin A, a fat-soluble vitamin that benefits immune function, vision, hair, skin, and nails. Butter coffee also provides a good fuel source because it contains healthy fats but no carbohydrates. I like the flavor and richness of butter coffee and enjoy it as part of The Culinary Cure Time Restricted Eating Program.

Butter Coffee Latte Recipe

Servings 1

Ingredients

  • 8-10 oz Freshly Brewed Dark Roast Coffee or French Press Coffee
  • 1 tbsp MCT Oil or Coconut Oil
  • 1 tbsp Butter from Grass-fed Cows

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend on high for 20-30 seconds until the coffee looks creamy, like a latte.

  2. Pour in a mug and enjoy. (I like to add a shake of cinnamon.)
