Seeds are a great source of healthy fats, vegetarian protein, fiber and antioxidant polyphenols. The main ingredient in this tasty seed butter is sunflower seeds which contain high levels of both monounsaturated and omega-6 fats. Sesame seeds are loaded with lignans which are beneficial for balancing hormones and help reduce inflammation and oxidative stress and add great flavor. Flax seeds are my favorites, they are a super source of fiber and lignans and may reduce cholesterol, help lower high blood pressure and even prevent some types of cancer.

The recipe takes minutes to make and is delicious as a dip, spread and also in smoothies.
