Ginger Digestive Tea

Use the directions below to make either 1 cup or 1 quart of this Ginger Detox Tea.

  • Unpeeled ginger root
  • 1 cup hot water
  • Ground cinnamon

  1. One cup serving. Add one heaping teaspoon of coarsely chopped, unpeeled ginger root to a cup of hot water. Let steep for 2 minutes. Strain or let the ginger settle to the bottom of the cup. Top with a shake of ground cinnamon before serving.
  2. One quart. Coarsely chop an unpeeled 2-inch piece of whole ginger. Place the pieces into a pot with one quart of purified water. Bring the water to a boil and reduce heat to a simmer for 15 minutes. Strain the ginger pieces and put the tea into a glass pitcher or jar. Reheat the tea as needed and top with a shake of ground cinnamon.
